How
to enter a code
First make sure the
passage set function is off by turning the snib
on the inner knob to the horizontal position.
Your intelock digital
door lock operates like a combination door lock.
When the outside knob is turned to the right
the display on the top of the lock lights up
and the numbers count up from 0: 0,1,2 .9,0.
Turn the knob to the left and the numbers count
down from 0: 0,9,8.1,0. Each time you release
the knob the lock registers the number you stopped
on. Turn the knob again before the display turns
off (about 2 seconds) and the numbers will continue
to scroll up or down until you stop again and
register another number.
So to enter the factory
set master code of 3-1-3, you turn the knob
to the right and the display scrolls up through
the numbers, release the knob when you get to
3, turn the knob to the left and scroll down
to 1, release the knob then turn it to the right
to scroll back to 3. Release the knob and you
should see a U appear on the display to indicate
that you have entered the correct code. While
the U is flashing you can turn the knob fully
to retract the latch.
If you register an
incorrect number, release the knob and wait
until the display shows a flashing bar. You
now get another chance at getting the code right.
The lock will give you 30 seconds to get the
correct code, after which time the anti tamper
alarm will sound and the lock will shut down
for a short period.
The Intelock can operate
two codes at once, your personal code and an
alternate code which can be switched on or off
as necessary. All locks are dispatched with
a personal code set to 3-1-3, and an alternate
code set to 2-0-2.
Changing
the codes
Check the snib on the
inner handle is in the horizontal position.
Remove the battery cover by sliding up and off.
Press the code reset
button. The lock will beep twice and the display
will show a "-".
While the bar is flashing
enter the personal code 3-1-3. The display now
shows a flashing "U". While the "U" is flashing,
press the code reset button again.
The lock displays a
"P" and plays you the current personal code
3-1-3 and then a flashing "P".
Now enter a new personal
code using the outer knob as for normal code
entry. Release the knob after entering your
3 or 4 digit code and the lock will play back
your new code and then display a flashing "P".
If you are not happy
with your new code simply enter another one
while the "P" is still flashing. When you are
satisfied, press the code reset button and the
lock will display an "A" and play back the current
alternate code 2-0-2. You can now set a new
alternate code. When you have entered your new
code press the code reset button and the display
will show a flashing number, (usually a 3).
This is the speed at
which the numbers scroll on the display, from
0, very slow to 9, very fast. Turn the knob
to the right for a higher number/faster speed
or left for a slower speed.
When you are happy
with the speed press the code reset button to
leave the programming mode.
Switching
the alternate code on or off
The alternate code
only works when a decimal point appears in the
lower right corner of the display when entering
a code.
To switch the code
on or off, enter your personal code, while the
"U" is flashing, press the code reset button.
The display will briefly flash an "A" indicating
the alternate code is switched on, or the display
will briefly flash a "-" to indicate the alternate
code is switched off.
The lock can be put
into a 'passage set' mode or free access mode
by setting the turn button on the inside knob
to the vertical position. The lock will now
work as a regular knobset.
In case of difficulty,
restore the factory codes as follows:
Remove the battery
cover and take out one of the 4 batteries, press
and hold the code reset button for 10 seconds.
Re-install the battery. The lock will beep twice
and flash two digits.
